What is Tasa modelo 790 Código 012?

This is the form for tax fee that you have to pay for processing your TIE Card in Spain. It costs 12.

When you attend your appointment at the Comisaría de la Policía Nacional to apply for your TIE Card in Spain you will have to provide confirmation that you have paid the tax fee for processing the application for your TIE Card in Spain. It is important that you get this right or else you may be turned away and will have to book another appointment for your TIE Card which could take months.

To pay the fee, you will first have to complete and print the Tasa modelo 790 Código 012 (from hereon, tax form) which you can complete and print from the Policía Nacional website.

How do I complete and print the Tasa modelo 790 Código 012?

Enter your details under the first tab ‘IDENTIFICACIÓN’. After you enter your details, select the option Certificado de registro de residente comunitario o Tarjeta de residencia de familiar de un ciudadano de la Unión under the second tab ‘AUTOLIQUIDACIÓN’ (under the sub-tab Tarjetas de identidad de extranjeros (TIE) y certificados de registro de residentes comunitarios):

Next, under the tab “DECLARANTE”, enter your municipality and select the date. Under the tab “INGRESO”, check that the amount you have to pay is €12 and select the option En efectivo.

Follow the instructions and select Descargar impreso rellenado to view the form.

When you are able to view the form, there will be a reference number on your tax form with a bar code on the top right of the form. Print and download the tax form with this reference number.

How to pay for the Tasa modelo 790 Código 012?

Applying for and printing the Tasa modelo 790 Código 012 is not confirmation of proof of payment of the €12 tax fee. There are a few ways to pay for the €12 tax fee to process the application for your TIE Card in Spain.

If you have a Spanish bank account

If you have a Spanish Bank account, you could take your tax form to your Spanish bank and pay at the branch. Your bank will stamp your tax form to confirm that you have paid the €12 tax fee. Make sure all the pages of your tax form are stamped at your bank. You will have to bring the tax form with you to your appointment for your TIE Card in Spain.

You can also pay the fee through online banking with your Spanish bank by using the reference number on your tax form. Make sure to print the payment confirmation with the reference number from your tax form and take the payment confirmation with you to your appointment together with the tax form.

Another option is to print out the tax form and pay the fee at any ATM machine from your Spanish bank by scanning the reference number bar code at the ATM machine. Make sure to print the payment confirmation with the reference number from your tax form and take the payment confirmation with you to your appointment together with the tax form.

If you do not have a Spanish bank account

If you do not have a Spanish bank account, you could get someone who has one to pay the fee on your behalf. Make sure that you bring the payment confirmation with the reference number from your tax form with you to your appointment together with the tax form.
